Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager with at least 5 years of experience in the field. The ideal candidate will have a CPA certification and substantial experience with DCAA (Defense Contract Audit Agency) and DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency) regulations. This is an exciting role for someone looking to establish themselves in a leadership position within accounting. HQE is a rapidly growing company and this position will play a significant role in developing accounting policies and practices and shaping the accounting function for years to come.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily accounting functions for the company
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
- Coordinate and complete annual audits
- Provide recommendations for improving the company’s financial operations
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
- Support project-based accounting and assist in the transition to SaaS accounting solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
- CPA certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of DCAA and DCMA regulations
- Proven experience in project-based accounting
- Familiarity with SaaS accounting practices
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
